Sacramental Preparation Families with children entering the 2nd and 8th grades must provide evidence of readiness before the children can be enrolled in Sacramental Preparation classes. The most important aspect of this is attendance at Sunday Mass. Families with children entering the 1st and 7th grades will be given a letter focusing on Sacramental Preparation guidelines. Children enrolling in grades 2 and 8 must have successfully completed the previous year's religious education class. |
| |
First Reconciliation and First Communion Students in the second grade are prepared to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. This preparation is done as a partnership between parents and teachers. In addition to the textbook used in class, parents will be given workbooks on each of the sacraments to be completed at home. A letter will be sent home in September notifying parents of important information and dates. There will be a mandatory Parent Meeting and Activity Day for both sacraments. |
| |
Confirmation Confirmation preparation is a two year program beginning in the 7th grade. Students will be required to participate in service projects and attend a one day retreat as part of their Preparation. A letter will be sent home in September notifying parents and students of important information and dates. There will be mandatory meetings for parents and confirmands. |
